Hand Painted Tile Panels

Delft Seascape Tile Panel Mural

Tile panels for fireplacesDelft Seascape Tile Panel

Dutch seascapes were a popular wall decoration in the 17th and 18th centuries.
This panel was used as a centrepiece for a kitchen alongside oxhead corner
decorated tiles.

Tile Panels for Fireplaces

Tile panels for fireplacesIt is sometimes necessary to cover over a fireplace and something is required to fill its function of being the visual focal point of the room. These two panels were created to fill this role exactly.

The panels shown here are in the traditional delft style but we are able to produce more contemporary panels for modern room situations.

Please contact us to discuss how we may help with your particular interior design requirements.

Our tiles are entirely suitable for using around a hot fireplace area or for surrounding a woodburning stove.

Tile panels for agas, rayburns and kitchen rangesTile Panels for AGAs, Rayburns and Kitchen Ranges

These two panels are examples of tiling we have designed to install behind clients' kitchen ranges.

In each case we worked closely with the client to achieve what they had in mind. Initially, each client had an idea that they wanted to develop.

In the case of the Boxing Hares panel, the client wanted something that reflected the fact that there were hares living around her property. She also wanted to include a view of Stonehenge, one of her favourite places. The border for the panel was also specially commissioned and is based on hawthorn flowers, characteristic of the surrounding area. Mike Francis put these ideas together to achieve a pleasing and unusual mural.

The landscape mural was for a client who had a particular love of the Arcadian ideal. The brief was for the mural to include a classical temple, sculpture and grazing cattle. Carol Francis put these ideas together in a typical Arcadian landscape producing an agreeable and peaceful result.

This was followed by drawings which were submitted to the client and then any adjustments were then made before the painting of the panel. Our aim is to work with you to bring to life what you have in mind for your feature panel.

See Projects page for full details of these two panels.

Tile Panels for Table Tops

Tiles make an ideal surface for a table. The tiles will withstand
hard use and can be cleaned easily. They are also suitable for
use on outside tables used with the appropriate weatherproof
mounting materials.

The design shown, left, is based on an ancient Egyptian fresco of
a garden. The Country Idyll illustrated, above, is taken from a
seventeenth century engraving.
